Building on the success of its predecessor, British Car Days Across the Bridge, the PEI International Motoring Festival was created as the natural “next step” in bringing motoring enthusiasts together to display their magnificent vehicles and to see what the future holds in new and exciting technology.
Set against the backdrop of the stunning waterfront in Historic Downtown Charlottetown, the PEI International Motoring Festival has something for everyone. The 2009 inaugural event, taking place July 25-26, 2009, will serve to showcase the treasures of the automobile industry, both past and present, to participants and spectators alike. Moreover, brands not readily available in the area will be displayed for the enjoyment of all, from daily drivers to exotic cars.
In addition to the vehicle and vendor show, participants will be given the unique opportunity to register for a professional racing course scheduled for the following weekend, August 1-2, 2009 in Slemon Park. An exhilarating lapping session around a 2km circuit on the Airport tarmac will cap off a great weekend and allow participants to put their newly acquired knowledge to the test.
